Each month, the health department publishes a column in the Mount Vernon News called "This is Public Health." The column is written by a different staff member every month. and usually appears on the third Wednesday of the month. It is our hope that “This is Public Health” will provide you with a better understanding about public health concerns as well as provide insight into how your health department operates and what types of programs are offered and why.
