Get Help Making Ends Meet

The Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB) is an Internet service that is available for Ohioans who are in need of help. Through no fault of their own, many Ohioans are being forced to make tough decisions each and every day, such as choosing between paying rent or buying food. In an effort to eliminate such choices from having to be made and to help Knox County residents gain access to programs that are available for those in need. The Ohio Benefit Bank is now available at the Knox County Health Department.

 

We can help you find out if you are eligible for:

• Food Assistance Program (Food Stamps/SNAP)
• Home Energy Assistance program (HEAP)
• Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• Ohio Works First
• WIC (Women, Infants and Children)
• USDA Child Nutrition Programs
• Child Care Subsidies
• Healthcare coverage for uninsured kids, pregnant women and their families

One of the unique aspects of OBB is that you just have to complete one application for all of the available programs. Help with Taxes

At this time of the year, the Ohio Benefit Bank focuses on connecting Ohioans with their FULL tax refunds. We believe that no one should have to fight to keep money they have earned, so we work to make federal and state tax filing easy as possible for Ohioans. In Knox County, United Way coordinates the OBB income tax Return Program. To make an appointment, call United Way of Knox County at 740-397-5721.
