Jan. 19, 2017: If you work at a level 3 or 4 food service operation and need to take a Level II food safety training, there are openings for the August and October sessions offered by the Environmental Health (EH) staff with the Knox County Health Department.; registration for the earlier-scheduled sessions is full. The Level II ServSafe Training consists of three one-day sessions held over three weeks. The cost for the ServSafe training is $193. For more information, click here for a complete schedule of training sessions and a registration form.  Rule 3717-1-2.4 of the Ohio Administrative Code requires for each Level 3 & 4 food service operation, that at least one employee who has supervisory and management responsibility and the authority to direct and control food preparation and service, obtain the level two certification in food protection.

The EH staff also offers a  Level I Person-in-Charge Class. This 2-hour session is offered at no charge. For more information, click here  for a complete schedule of training sessions and a registration form.
