Feb. 21, 2017: Improperly discarded scrap tires are a breeding ground for mosquitos which carry infectious diseases including West Nile Virus and Encephalitis. With this weekend as a reminder that spring and mosquitos will be here soon, you should make plans now to rid your property of unwanted tires. The DKMM Solid Waste District has a brochure which lists local businesses where you can dispose old tires, plus there are special collection events this year for unwanted tires in Morrow and Delaware counties.
