The District Advisory Board for the Knox County General Health District held a special meeting Tuesday night to appoint a new member to the Knox County Board of Health.
The DAC elected Joe Porter to fill the unexpired term of Laura Haberman who retired from the BOH after 19 years of service.
Porter, a lifelong resident of Centerburg, is a firefighter and paramedic and most recently retired as chief of the Central Ohio Joint Fire District. He works as an EMS instructor for Central Ohio Technical College and is outreach coordinator for Survival Flight. (read more)
