4/16/21 - Knox Public Health returns to the Mount Vernon Energy Field House on Wednesday for a COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic from 9 to 11 a.m.
More than 500 doses of Pfizer vaccine will be available for anyone age 16 and older regardless of where they live
The Wednesday clinic is a walk-in clinic; no appointment is needed. For those with mobility issues, curbside vaccination is available by notifying the parking attendant when you arrive at the clinic.
Clinic attendees need to bring a photo ID and a copy of their insurance card. There are no out-of-pocket costs for the vaccine.
In addition to Wednesday’s clinic, Knox Public Health will offer COVID-19 vaccine at East Knox, Danville, Fredericktown and Centerburg high schools, as well as the Knox County Career Center for students age 16 and older. Students do not need to be accompanied by a parent to receive the vaccine, but do need to have a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.
Second-dose clinics for those vaccinated three weeks ago will be held Thursday evening at the Knox County Career Center and Friday morning at the Field House..
Vaccine consent forms are available on the health department website www.knoxhealth.com or can be picked up at any time at the health department, 11660 Upper Gilchrist Rd., Mount Vernon. Having a completed consent form prior to arriving at the clinic expedites the check-in process but is not necessary as there will be plenty of consent forms on site.
